About Jenn's eye...I've not had eye surgery but I work in an optometrist's office and we see 'pink eye' cases very frequently. It's difficult for me to speculate what kind of surgery she would need...but it isn't painful. If the infection is related to a sty or bump on or around her eye, they may do a local shot to numb it before removing it. Doesn't sound like that's it, though--so they would probably use numbing drops which sting a bit but only for a few minutes.
